Been wanting to try this place out since coming from Japan. The restaurant is aesthetically decorated and clean. The staff is very friendly and attentive. If you like your food spicy, level 4-5 should be a good enough spice level for your taste buds as it is pretty spicy. Everything came out hot and nicely plated. They've definitely met the expectation of craving for Japanese curry. Would definitely come back here again!

I'm such a big fan of Japanese food & my Japanese Curry experience only began a year ago, with this restaurant, in San Diego. Trying it again here in Texas & being so warmly satisfied, is exactly what I was hoping for! Normally, I'm craving chicken cutlet for my curry, but on this rainy day, meatball was an instant choice. I requested an omelette on top, because how could you not? This is such a comforting dish & the quality is fantastic. I also love that the portion is large enough to have half later, if you wish. The staff was very attentive & polite, I'm glad that is consistent with the previous location I've visited. Spacious seating & cordial greetings also make the experience an easy choice here.

Definitely worth a try if you've never been to this chain and worth a stop if you've been and want to try again. It is more expensive than if you would buy it at a Japan store, but don't compare Japan prices to US prices. It's unfortunately more expensive here. The plate of food was pretty big but I was only able to eat half and it came out to like $21 ish. The food was good and I enjoyed it. The curry is milder, but that's how Japanese curry is in general. I got the combo omelet with pork katsu and a side of sausage with spicy level 4 (aka 6x). It was a slight kick of spicy and overall the flavors were good. I'd come back again for sure. The lines and wait aren't as painful as before so no excuses and come try it!

Super spicy, super authentic curry. So happy we have this in town now. Service is fast (once seated) and the tables are clean. The drop from 5stars is the waiting list (which may clear up over time) Loved that I could buy a spoon too! Check them out!

Yummy Japanese curry chain in Frisco! I've heard about this chain and have wanted to try it for so long now. It is always super busy but the wait goes by pretty fast. They use a waitlist check-in system to seat tables. The menu is super customizable, and I ordered the Chicken Katsu Omelet Curry with regular spice and it was super delicious! I actually think the chicken is better than pork. The curry is a perfect consistency. The egg is a great addition- definitely recommend! This is probably the best Japanese curry in the area!

Stepping into Coco Ichibanya in Frisco is like walking into a flavorful fantasy! From the moment you sit down, your taste buds know they're in for a treat. Let's talk about those garlic fries first--they are beyond next level! Crispy, golden, and bursting with garlicky goodness, each bite is a mini celebration. The omurice? A dreamy concoction of fluffy omelette draped over rice, creating a dish that's both comforting and sensational. Paired with a fresh, vibrant salad, it's the perfect balance of indulgence and lightness. And the daikon sides--oh my! They add a delightful crunch and a tangy twist, rounding out the meal beautifully. Coco Ichibanya in Frisco doesn't just serve food; it serves an experience you'll be eager to relive over and over again. The wait was worth it

I visited around 3:30 for a late lunch and found the place pretty empty. The service was impressively quick and attentive; my customized order, which included specific spice levels and components, was promptly prepared and served within 5 minutes. It's clear this spot has a loyal following, with staff engaging warmly with regulars. The food was delicious and hearty, tailored exactly to my preferences. A great choice if you appreciate being able to fine-tune your meal to your liking.

Super excited to see more Japanese curry options in DFW! The restaurant itself is super cute and bright. Staff is super attentive and nice. It's really great that you can customize the spice level on each curry you order. I got a level 4 spice and handled it with a breeze. I would recommend getting regular spice if you can't handle spice well but still want a small kick. I loved the udon curry, the texture was perfect. A great simple curry restaurant!
